Make your own stencil using craft punches, then use glitter to transfer the design onto fabric totes, pouches, bandannas, and tees.

- Freezer paper
- Fabric paint (optional)
- Fabric glue
- Sponge pouncer brushes
- Bowls
- Cardboard
- Paper plate
- Iron
- Scrap card stock

Punch and Stencil Fashion Accessories How-To
1. Place scrap card stock under freezer paper and punch design in the center of both. Card stock keeps the freezer paper from getting stuck in the punch. (Note: Shiny side of freezer paper should be facedown.) Leave as much paper as possible to protect item from paint or glue.
2. Iron punched freezer paper shiny side down onto item for 20 to 30 seconds until adhered. If needed, iron on more squares or strips of freezer paper around punched stencil to further protect fabric from paint.
3. Place cardboard inside fabric item under area to be stenciled. Squeeze a quarter-sized amount of glue (if glittering) or paint into glass bowl. Dip flat bottom of sponge brush in thin layer of glue or paint. Apply glue or paint in an up-and-down dabbing motion to avoid glue or paint bleeding under the stencil.
4. If glittering, spoon glitter over glued area and shake off excess onto a paper plate. Fold plate and funnel extra glitter back into bowl or jars.
5. Peel freezer-paper stencil off item and discard. Set item aside and let dry for 7 to
10 days. Take cardboard pieces out of items and reuse if clean.
6. Hand wash or machine wash on delicate cycle. Do not put in dryer.
